 STANDING WITH SURVIVORS.
 LEADING ON GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION.

 DELIVERING REAL JUSTICE FOR ALL.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM JOSÉ

Four years ago, survivors of sexual assault sued the City of Austin and the DA’s Office for failing to investigate and prosecute violence against women.

Four years later, we’ve made survivors a partner in new accountability strategies, instituted a multi-faceted gun violence prevention plan, and cleared the records of over a thousand residents who had been arrested, but never convicted, allowing them to freely pursue jobs and housing.

This is what happens when we listen to the people, partner with the community, and defend the right of everyone — no matter their pocketbooks, race or walk of life — to be safe and confident that in Travis County justice belongs to all.
